We had so so much fun on our girls' weekend! We left Friday afternoon and came home Sunday afternoon. No kids! No responsibility! No LAUNDRY to do!
.
We laughed, we cried, we ate.
.
We went to Oliver Winery, which has really beautiful grounds.
.
Amanda, Amanda, Lesa, Jodona (I was taking the picture).
.
As we got out of the van at Oliver, Jodona tripped and her flip flop strap broke. Nothing was keeping me from staying! So I pulled a MacGyver and used a bobby pin that I pulled out of my hair and fixed it!
.
Lesa was cracking up at the whole scene:
.
This is where I told the story at dinner of when my brother was little and my mom didn't know his hamster was dead, went to pick it up and its skin came off:
About 10 minutes after we left the grocery, Amanda asked Lesa for the receipt (she needed it for the phone card she had purchased). Well, Lesa had tossed it in the trash as we walked out, so we had to go back and Amanda had to ask a grocery employee to get the bag out so she could dig through the trash. She wasn't exactly thrilled, but we all thought it was hilarious! That's her with the gross receipt and a hand wipe!
It was a fabulous weekend, despite the fact that two of us weren't feeling well. We're ready to go back next weekend! Do you think our husbands would mind?
I'm so blessed with wonderful friends!
For pete's sake did you have to tell the flip flop story?
ReplyDeleteI object to being identified as a hamster owner! I will sheepishly admit to having a cat many, many years ago--but hamster, no way. Those were Aimee's pets.
ReplyDeleteGlad you all had such fun!
